2019 Fall Conference
October 24 and 25, 2019
Beyond the 94.
What now.
Chi-Miigwetch!
Big thanks to our keynotes, presenters, delegates, Starr contest winners, vendors and trades representatives, and, of course, to our elder, Linda Blomme, for a wonderful conference. We all gained some knowledge, skills, and perspectives from our experiences this year, and we’re pouring through your feedback to see what you liked and would like more of in the future.
We’ll be asking what you are doing to implement the 94 Calls to Action at Spring Conference, so come prepared with your visions, plans, successes and struggles as we continue this important work together! Keep an eye out for further Spring Conference 2020 details coming out soon, but for now, have a wonderful winter break.
See you in 2020!

The Adult Secondary Education Council provides voice and representation for adult educators and literacy instructors in Manitoba. We are committed to continuous learning and professional development. We work hard to provide our members with two conferences per year. As a non-profit volunteer organization, without any paid staff, the strength of our work is in the commitment and dedication of our members. We believe that Education and Reconciliation go hand in hand and that it is time to bring truth and action to our teaching.
As Senator Murray Sinclair said, “Education is what got us here, and Education is what will get us out.” We ask you to take your rightful place in restoring balance to the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in Canada. We ask you to get involved and to make your difference. This letter is your invitation to become a champion, a partner, or an ally in our shared journey and in our ASEC Fall Conference – “Beyond the 94. What Now?”
What role will you play?
