Dear Colleagues, 

ASEC’s mission is to foster a network of communication and cooperation among providers of secondary education to adult students...  Our 2019 Spring Conference, Wicihitowin: Helping Each Other is quickly approaching and we are excited to begin preparations! The conference will take place on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Neeginan Centre – CAHRD, 181 Higgins Avenue in Winnipeg.

We are calling on you to share your ideas as presenters who may wish to discuss educational projects, successful lesson plans and/or any other teaching tools whether it is related to a specific curricular area or a related field.  Session times vary however they average 75 minutes long and will cover all disciplines in education.  

This year, we are also facilitating “speed teaching” sharing sessions, where you would bring an activity or resource you use in your classroom and do a short 10 minute presentation to small groups of participants. Rather than do a full session, you repeat the same session to different groups, sharing with them practical resources and activities which they can use in their classrooms. If you have a great idea to share, we encourage you to participate in these sessions in the spirit of our theme, Wicihitowin: Helping Each Other.
